मु॒मोद॒ गर्भो॑ वृष॒भः क॒कुद्मा॑नस्रे॒मा व॒त्सः शिमी॑वाँ अरावीत् । स दे॒वता॒त्युद्य॑तानि कृ॒ण्वन्स्वेषु॒ क्षये॑षु प्रथ॒मो जि॑गाति ॥ (२)

अभिलाषापूरक एवं उन्नत तेज वाले अग्नि द्यावा-पृथिवी के मध्य में प्रसन्न होते हैं प्रातःकाल एवं निशा के प्रसिद्ध पुत्र एवं यज्ञकर्म करने वाले अग्नि शब्द करते हैं. वे यज्ञ में उत्साहपूर्ण कर्म करते हैं, अपने स्थानों में रहते हैं एवं देवों के प्रमुख बनकर जाते हैं.(२)

The desireful and advanced sharp agnies are pleased in the middle of the day and the earth, in the morning and the famous sons of Nisha and those who perform yajnakarma do the words agni. They perform zealous deeds in the yagna, live in their places and become the head of the gods. (2)
