उ॒षौ॑षो॒ हि व॑सो॒ अग्र॒मेषि॒ त्वं य॒मयो॑रभवो वि॒भावा॑ । ऋ॒ताय॑ स॒प्त द॑धिषे प॒दानि॑ ज॒नय॑न्मि॒त्रं त॒न्वे॒३॒॑ स्वायै॑ ॥ (४)

हे प्रशंसनीय अग्नि! तुम प्रतिदिन उषाकाल से पहले ही आ जाते हो तथा आपस में मिले हुए रात-दिन को प्रकाशित करते हो. तुम अपने शरीर से सूर्य को उत्पन्न करते हुए यज्ञ के निमित्त सात स्थानों में बैठो. (४)

O praiseworthy agni! You come every day before the dawn and illuminate the night and day that you meet. You sit in seven places for the sake of the yajna, generating the sun from your body. (4)
