हं॒सा इ॑व श्रेणि॒शो यता॑नाः शु॒क्रा वसा॑नाः॒ स्वर॑वो न॒ आगुः॑ । उ॒न्नी॒यमा॑नाः क॒विभिः॑ पु॒रस्ता॑द्दे॒वा दे॒वाना॒मपि॑ यन्ति॒ पाथः॑ ॥ (९)

जिस प्रकार पंक्ति बनाकर आकाश में उड़ते हुए हंस शोभा पाते हैं, उसी प्रकार उज्ज्वल वस्त्र से ढके हुए एवं लकड़ी के टुकड़ों से युक्त यूप पंक्ति बनाकर हमारे समीप आवें. मेधावी अध्वर्यु आदि द्वारा अग्नि की पूर्व दिशा में खड़े किए गए तथा दीप्तिमान्‌ यूप अंतरिक्ष को प्राप्त करते हैं. (९)

Just as the swans flying in the sky make a row and come to us by making a yupe row covered with bright cloth and with pieces of wood. The bright and radiant, which are erected in the east direction of the agni by the meritorious adhwaryu etc., acquire space. (9)
