मा॒तेव॒ यद्भर॑से पप्रथा॒नो जनं॑जनं॒ धाय॑से॒ चक्ष॑से च । वयो॑वयो जरसे॒ यद्दधा॑नः॒ परि॒ त्मना॒ विषु॑रूपो जिगासि ॥ (४)

सर्वत्र प्रसिद्ध अग्नि सभी मनुष्यों को माता के समान धारण करते हैं. सब लोग धारण एवं दर्शन के निमित्त अग्नि की प्रार्थना करते हैं. धार्यमाण होते समय अग्नि सब अन्नों को पका देते हैं एवं नाना रूप होकर स्वयं सब प्राणियों के समीप जाते हैं. (४)

The famous agni everywhere treats all human beings as mothers. Everyone prays for agni for the sake of holding and seeing. At the time of grinding, the agni cooks all the grains and in various forms, it goes close to all beings themselves. (4)
