बृ॒हद्वयो॒ हि भा॒नवेऽर्चा॑ दे॒वाया॒ग्नये॑ । यं मि॒त्रं न प्रश॑स्तिभि॒र्मर्ता॑सो दधि॒रे पु॒रः ॥ (१)

यज्ञ में दीप्तिशाली अग्नि के लिए हव्यरूप बृहत्‌ अन्न दिया जाता है. इसलिए तुम भी द्योतमान अग्नि की अर्चना करो. इन अग्नि को मनुष्यों ने मित्र के समान अग्रभाग में स्थापित किया एवं स्तुतियां कीं. (१)

In the yajna, large food is given as a whole for the bright agni. Therefore, you should also offer the prayer of the agni. These agnis were set up by men in the forepart like a friend and praised. (1)
