तव॑ श्रि॒या सु॒दृशो॑ देव दे॒वाः पु॒रू दधा॑ना अ॒मृतं॑ सपन्त । होता॑रम॒ग्निं मनु॑षो॒ नि षे॑दुर्दश॒स्यन्त॑ उ॒शिजः॒ शंस॑मा॒योः ॥ (४)

हे अग्नि! तुम्हारी समृद्धि के द्वारा ही इंद्र आदि देव दर्शनीय बनते हैं एवं प्रीति धारण करते हुए अमृत प्राप्त करते हैं. ऋत्विज्‌ फल चाहने वाले यजमान के कल्याण के निमित्त हव्य देते हुए होतारूप अग्नि की सेवा करते हैं. (४)

O agni! It is through your prosperity that Indra, adi dev, becomes visible and receives nectar while wearing love. Those who want fruits serve the agni in the form of giving a havan for the welfare of the host. (4)
