स सत्प॑तिः॒ शव॑सा हन्ति वृ॒त्रमग्ने॒ विप्रो॒ वि प॒णेर्भ॑र्ति॒ वाज॑म् । यं त्वं प्र॑चेत ऋतजात रा॒या स॒जोषा॒ नप्त्रा॒पां हि॒नोषि॑ ॥ (३)

हे उत्तम ज्ञानसंपन्न व यज्ञ के निमित्त उत्पन्न अग्नि! तुम जल के पुत्र विद्युत्‌ से मिलकर जिस व्यक्ति को धन देना चाहते हो, वह सज्जनों का रक्षक व बुद्धिमान्‌ होकर शक्ति द्वारा शत्रुओं का नाश करता है तथा पणि लोगों की शक्ति छीन लेता है. (३)
