इन्द्रः॒ सूर्य॑स्य र॒श्मिभि॒र्न्य॑र्शसा॒नमो॑षति । अ॒ग्निर्वने॑व सास॒हिः प्र वा॑वृधे ॥ (९)

जिस प्रकार अग्नि वनों को जलाते हैं, उसी प्रकार इंद्र सूर्य की किरणों द्वारा बाधक राक्षसों को ठीक से जलाते हैं एवं शत्रुओं को पराजित करते हुए बढ़ते हैं. (९)
